Favorite Tungsten Jigs
« on: Nov 21, 2014, 12:51 PM »
I like to use Custom jigs and spins Chekai tungsten jigs, they seem to be the most effective for me, just wondering what other jigs my fellow anglers prefer ? Id like to try some others out for this ice season, its always good to have options for those days where the bite is slow.

I'm a big fan of the Chekai jig too and they are cheaper than many others on the market.  I do fish a of Fiskas too.  After dark, I really like Northland's Fireball tungsten jig.  Out of all glow tungsten jigs I own, the fireball seems to glow the best.

Fiskas Wolfram are my favorite.

I like these as well. I ordered some Brantner jigs, we'll see how well I can get those to perform.

I've used a lot of tungsten over the last 5 or 6 seasons. If i see something I haven't tried, I feel like I HAVE to have it. Of all the brands out there, in my opinion, the best has been Kodiak. Haven't had any hook failures (hooks breaking during hooksets). That to me is priority. They also have great patterns any lots of different sizes to choose from.

Do you guys prefer your jigs to have flashers? I use a small swedish pimple on the bottom and get a ton of hits on it.
But I also enjoy using lures that many others wouldn't.

Not so much any flasher blades but a glow bead or some glow on the jig itself seems to help or plastics that may have some glow.
