Chesterfield conditions?
« on: Nov 19, 2014, 08:34 PM »
I never went to Chesterfield last year, but looking at the pictures that were posted the water level was real low.  I am curious to know what the water level is like this year.  Anyone been up there this fall that knows?

I fished Chester a couple months ago, and it was painfully low.  Fished for 5hrs and didn't even get the hint of a bite off the dam.  Doesn't mean they are not in there though, probably just a bad day.

Drove by in the same time frame.  Ditto the painfully low water--there was 8-10 feet of mud after the end (bottom) of the boat ramp.  The entire north end was green grass and had cattle grazing on it.  But they kept enough water that they still did the Fall planting.

I was hoping the water level was better this year.  May have to try it out this season.
