Had enough of this chronic hip/ upper leg pain!! Tired of standing up and having my right leg give out! Going to find a doctor today come hell or high water! Been doing the chiropractor thing............. no help . Have had syaitic nerve trouble before. This don't seem the same. Been eating over the counter pain releif like candy. Going to rot my guts out. They have no help anymore.

i just messed up my sciatic nerve 2 weeks ago and that was some pain. First time ive ever had that kind of nerve pain as i am only 25 but it wasn't good so good luck bud!

If this turns out to be a hip issue, do not put off getting a hip replacement. I had one five years ago. I put it off until I could not tolerate the pain. It turned out to be no big deal. There is a Doc in Portland that does a new "minimally invasive" procedure that does not cut muscle. I walked out of the hospital and was back to normal activities in six weeks. I had very little discomfort. I'll PM his contact info. If this turns out to be helpful, I expect an invite to use that new second jigging hole

It may be bursitis. See an orthopedic guy. I had bursitis in my hip after one Dr said it was my back. Slowly better w the right treatment

Where do you think that he's laying down while he's convalescing? There will be no sneaking into the shack right away.

I was at his house this weekend. The ice shack is parked in a prime spot in his garage. By the way, it was close to freezing in the garage, but 70 degrees in the shack.

I’m sorta picturin” a walker with brakes (and seat in case one might fall backward) and a couple of drink and rod holders in case he wants to go visiting.

Many years ago I had bad back problems from a blown out disc, after a year of agony, I started looking into surgery.

The doc told me of an alternative to surgery,

Step 1) stop at the liqueur store.

Step 2) mix 2 beverages in one large glass and consume.

Step 3) lay down on the floor face up with 2 pillows under your knees and go to sleep.

Low and behold I woke up the next morning with a bit of a headache but the pain in my back and leg was nearly gone.
