I have a pond a little north of CB that is usually first to ice up, I think I'll take Friday off and see what kind of ice I've got.  It's been lockedbyp for a week now and should have put good ice on the last couple days.  Hopefully by Friday I can ice some crappie.  I'm just afraid of losing it when the weather warms up next week.  Or so they say

There is going to be 2 days in the 40's and then back down thru thanksgiving.  It will take the snow off the top if anything. Saturday might be a pretty nice day to go out if you have thick enough ice.

How much ice u guys have down that way. Buddy claims he measured 4 down by creston. Luckily I'm out of town and will be over my 40 by the time I'm back. Thinking I'm gonna have to go check that out. Not much frozen around Ames.

My small shaded pond east of CB has about 3inches in the center.  Might be going out tomorrow morning and try it out.
