Fishing at Turtle is terrible...best to just head to Ministkewan or somewhere else.  Seen guys netting, they didn't even have any fish.

Heading back up to Turtle tomorrow. Hope to catch some nice ones, my buddy was up there today and couldn't keep the pike off his tip ups and did manage to land a 17lb Johnny. I hope we have as good of luck as he did.

Anybody else been up there this week?

Keep your hooks wet and fish on!!!

Heading out there next week. If anyone can give snow reports after weekend that would be great. I'm sure 4 wheel drive will still get me around but I have to tow camper out. Thanks.
I'd rather be fishing then working. So I'm fishing.

Anyone been out to Turtle Lake after the storm?
Wondering how access is onto the lake and if it's drivable with a stock 4x4 half ton truck.
Anyone having any luck out there at all?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
Cheers! :)

It's brutal on the lake in the summer. Once you catch a fish trolling everyone pulls up into your trolling path and anchors. On one occasion I had a guy follow me for half a day trolling right behind me when I was pulling lindy rigs. funny how 3 years ago everyone was out tubing and wakeboarding on the lake. now they are fishing out of their mailbu boats :P.

Out on turtle right now. Had a slow day. So I'm heading north in the morning with my camper. Was able to drive around today with no problems in 4x4. But tomorrow I'm going to chain up just for fun.  Hopefully get into some eyes.
I'd rather be fishing then working. So I'm fishing.

We had a guy cut right behind us in the summer. Cut my brothers line after spooling up 20 yards on his prop. Lol. Lakes turned into a bit of a joke the last few years

Was super slow for us this weekend. Spent more time watching people get stuck than catching fish. Take a shovel people. Looks a little ridiculous when guys get stuck and they start kicking snow around their truck

Getting stuck is right!!! We got on the lake with my truck but my buddy who came up late afternoon got stuck coming on the lake. Then I went over to get him and got stuck myself, oops!! We shovelled his truck out (thanks to the cabin owner who lent us another shovel after buddies broke so we were back to two shovels). After shovelling his out he towed me out. But it was still my best day of ice fishing ever!!!!  The bite was slow but landed 10 out of the 15 bites I had all day. I caught 6 walleye (personal best through the ice) and 3 pike ( 1 which tied a personal best 17.5lbs, 39.25") And 1 mariya. It wasn't the most fish I've caught through the ice but what I caught made it a great Day. Even with my buddy getting stuck and then me gettin stuck. Worse thing for him he only caught one mariya. Sorry bud. But my Bro did alright catching 3 walleye and 3 jack.

It was personnel best on how many but I guess personal best on size as well but never weighed any. I have caught thousands on open water but through the ice has been a challenge. Just not enough time and research put in. The biggest though ice was 50 cm. In open water it is 11lbs 31".

Well hard water fishing has ended for me. Finished off the season with a slow day but overall one of my best seasons. Today I caught 4 Walleye, 6 Pike & 2 Mariya. My buddy caught 4 Walleye, 2 Pike & 6 mariya. Good luck to those that are going to get out again this year. Bring on open water!!!!
