Game on!
« on: Nov 14, 2014, 12:28 PM »
Our lake completely froze over in one night! Most of the small ponds have been iced over for a week now.

GAME ON!

Pictures from in front of the house this morning.

Don't worry, I probably will. Its nice living on the lake, but Wabigoon is also known as the Dead Sea!

Wow that's a sight for sore eyes here in PA. What are the tracks in the snow on the second pic?

Those are deer tracks, lots of the buggers around.

Not sure IFH. Was meant to get out there yesterday and check, but other sh!T got in the way. Plan to check today. The main basin of the lake was still liquid when i took those pics on Friday. It is Minus -19C as I type, and only a few centimetres of snow since Friday. I'm guessing 4 or 5 inches of good black ice. I won't even consider venturing out till the weekend though…..not worth risking my life to wet a line. Some reports are starting to come in from around the area of people hitting up the smaller ponds.
