Tropical Weather
« on: Nov 14, 2014, 11:47 AM »
Woke this morning to a temperature of eighteen degrees,  hope this is a sign of things to come. It has been way too warm in South Central during the past week and hope we start making ice again.  Still hoping to spend the week of Thanksgiving ice fishing.

I don't know about you guys but I'm pulling the shack out this weekend.  I just studded the track on my sled so I don't need snow.  My shack is made out of wood so it should float just fine.
I was born an Alaskan I just didn't live here at the time.

throw some animals in and call it the Arc. you will need 2 fish of every kind.  You should be fine on the lake,  there was 6 in most places the week before last.

Eight inches on the lake across from my house, my week off starts on Friday and I am going to be out there trying to get the trout to see the world from the other side of the ice.

Living in the Interior does have certain advantages when it comes to ice fishing in Alaska.

Forecast showing 0 this coming weekend. May have to go out before the temp dips down. Plenty of ice in the Tanana Valley  ;D if your up for a drive.

Not even close DB2.  Just waiting for the darn ice to form so I can set my tip-ups out and drink some beer.  Suppose you got 2 foot of ice by now?

Got out today and the warm weather sure made it comfortable out there but didn't help the bite any. Nine inches of ice and by the time I was leaving it was cooling down and the ice was talking to me. Looks like it will be a nice weekend.

All of LOW is frozen over CharlieBrn! But by no mean's is it 2ft thick! Some of the resort's are letting people go out on their snow machine's. Not me! I want lot's of ice under me! :icefish:DIRTBALL2 ;)2
