Well crap, Just dawned on me Dec 6th is not that far away, and have to work that day. Has a January date been picked yet for CC (Ice permitting) of course ? Will drop in more often now that I think I can get around in here.

I have to ask for day off 2 weeks before, if making plans on going out of town

but sure would like to make it out to Rifle and get after the water wolfs on 11 before my reel runs out of line.

Glad I found this thread, and the info on shop in Springs. Nice walleye there Vex-Um

Sounds like a great way to meet people. I am from the Midwest and moved here last winter. Been fishing by myself up in the Glacier View area last winter but would like to expand my range. Unfortunately, a friend asked me to run a plant in Michigan for him until mid-January. I will keep watching to see if a concrete date and place emerges.

Looks like fishable ice is still a few weeks off. I will be keeping a close eye on CC, as its pretty close by. Might have to burn some of my hours off I have been saving, if it looks like a day being picked is less than 2 weeks out.

"CURRENT CONDITIONS: ICE. Now you see it, now you don't. The lake has capped just about every night since the last report only to be blown away by the wind. Yesterday was no exception as shown by this weeks photo. The water is ready and if we have just one moderately calm day the cap could hold and that would be it. Today is suppose to be some what calm. We will post reports as necessary as ice conditions develop."

I guess the 6th is officially out. I'd suggest we see how next weekend looks at the Mile. My vote is for Sunday, 12/14.

I was just getting ready to PM you with that same info you downloaded from the 11 Mile marina website. I also track the temperature forecast for Hartsel on weather.org or weather.com. Temperatures for the next week look like lows in the mid 20's and the highs in the low 40's. But the key is the wind of course and right now it's not blowing. If they can just get about 48 windless hours in a row then that baby will skin over and we're in action. It can easily add an inch of ice per night once it caps. I'm not sure I'd be able to make the party personally. I'm nursing a bunch of broken ribs that really limit what I can do for now. But the Mile is my home ice and I'll be there as soon as she hits 4" or better. Ya'll be safe.

Suggest away! Any dates/locations you have in mind. 11-Mile might still be the best idea for December.

I'd be available 12/24 and any day between the 12/28 and 1/4.

A gtg in January at C.C. still seems like a good idea.
