Got put back in our place today, wasn't near as good. Maybe 25 fish with 4 0f us. Nothing big. Just some good eater-sized ones. We fished till noon. Good sized perch though and our buds beside us caught a couple nice pike.

We are hoping to do some fishing on Tobin in February. Is there a few places that rent out cabins in the winter and is one you might recommend ? Thanks

A few prime Tobin Gators! This was these guys first ever ice fishing trip! I had to go at least 300 times before I caught fish that size, LOL. WTG Keenan and Graham

I'm sorry, but we want to enjoy that spot with our kids and friends for a bit. Theres tonnes of amazing fishing to be had out there. Just take a look at a depth map/contour map, drill some holes and you'll find some fish. Just get away from the packs of shacks where theres lots of pressure

I was thinking about trying Tobin for some larger gators.  The thing is I have never fished the lake which is crazy, I am located in Saskatoon so its not that big of a drive.  Where would the flats exactly be located? I know where Carrolls, Prudens and JackfishPoint is located?

I have a sled so access would not be a problem, just have to find a place to park the truck and trailer.

If someone could point me in the general direction, I don't need any secret hot spots.

Thanks

What is access like currently here? Are the Flats accessible with a 4x4? Would the resort be a safer option?

Any update on the flats conditions. Has the road been plowed out on the ice like last year or did the snow last week finish that?

Plan to get out to Tobin soon, how is the fishing now? Does it usually get better later in March?

unless you want to shovel down to the ice you'd better have an extension.  snow pack is getting real hard to shovel through

Selling my shack, on Tobin right now, can move to anywhere on the lake that buyer desires.

Details.

For sale is my 3 man ice fishing semi sleeper shack. This is an all aluminum/fibreglass semi sleeper with a wood/tin wall and door. Measures 7'long by 4' wide by 7' tall. Has three catch cover pvc fishing holes, insulated with a rubber floor. This shack is located on Tobin Lake at the moment and I can transport it to anywhere on the lake that you desire or pull to the shore for you to load up and take elsewhere. Has four snowboard runners, tip on its side and tows like a dream behind a snowmobile. Selling as I have other shacks and only used this one once this year. $700 OBO.

Hey everyone. My brother and I are going fishing first time on Tobin lake. Decided we are gonna try the flats.
Is there a good chance to catch any burbot or walleye? Also is there any specific techniques that work better than others? I usually just use tip ups for jack and jigs and spoons for walleye and burbot.

Remember everytime you share a fishing spot on the internet a puppy dies

Well that and 10 times more fish will die too.  So there is that.  Might be why tobin is a lot tougher this year.  Too many puppies dying.
