ice auger repair

anyone know of a good place to fix my jiffy gas auger got it to idle last year but when you give it throttle it stalls

if your handy pull the carb off and clean the jet ports out with carb cleaner. rebuild kits are cheap money. where are you located?

ive done that  got it to idle but once u give it throttle it just dies
im in providence but go to northern ri often

Been there done that... I took mine to a guy in Warwick on Post Rd. almost where it turns into E.G. mine was the diaphragm. He squared me away and cheap too. I will say that every season it seems like I have to tweak it tho ? I'm at the point where I can do it myself now. I'll post the name of the shop if I can find it.

it was called trips small engine. i live up the road and he also fixed my jiffy.  unfortunetly he is no longer in bussiness..any small engine shop can help you

Sounds like the high speed jet needs to be cleaned.  Take the carb off and let it soak overnight in a high grade parts cleaner.  The next day floss out the tiny passages with soft copper wire to ensure that they are still not plugged up.  It sounds like it is not getting fuel when the throttle is being opened.
"Hope" is not a good fishing strategy!
