I have owned the m68c for at least 10 years and really like it.  It is the same as the x67c except it has GPS in it.  Go for it..

I just toss the skimmer down the hole with my Humminbird...no reason to use an ice ducer

That's a smokin' deal on a great unit. I had one fro a year and the only reason I moved away from it was that I upgraded to the m68 (w/ GPS). Shoulda done that in the first place. These are 4 season units that are as home in the front (or back) of a boat, in a canoe or kayak as they are on the ice. Again, the GPS is priceless but the locator part is awesome.
