I take it you used Super Glow powder paint from protec?
Very good stuff I go through pounds of it each year making saltwater jigs.
Those jigs look good. I bet you catch a lot of fish in them this winter.

That all comes down to personal prefference.
For saltwater fishing we rig an assist hook off the top (Narrow side)with the eyes up and that works great.
For Ice fishing it is different and whatever you prefer should work just fine.

The fish will let you know what works best.

Northland forage minnows come both ways.  Some facing down, some up.  Their Fish-Fry spoons on the tail, and Moxie Minnows on the snout.
