I haven't seen the 5 sided shelter, is it really a pentagon?

Yup I got one last year it's pretty comfortable just gotta get use to setting up in it because you can't fit four guys in a straight line inside like a 6x8 but with 3 guys its stupid comfortable
And roomy.

Im up in the air about new toys this year I'm buyin something I just don't know what yet I might buy a 6x12 and make a towable out of it with a full floor and what not or Might buy a 2 or 3 man flip over.

How would you make the 6 X 12 towable! Sounds interesting! If you do it, post it!! ;)

I had made a platform for my 6x8 but I way overbuilt of and it was to heavy and not really easy to transport or use. For the 6x12 it would be simple 2x4 stringers going the long way with good pressure treated plywood on top of them I would make it slighty larger than the shelter it self and put about a 1 foot kickate around the inside diameter of the shelter and make some quick easy skeleton braces for the hubs out of conduit so you wouldn't have to anchor the outside to keep the wind from popping it in. Obviously make a small radius at the front so it doesn't plow snow and a few more little bells and whistles but it would be light and for on my duck boat trailer perfect

yes it is a pentagon but the main reason I bought it was because of the 360 degree window for 100% viewing.

I'm building a towable hard sided 6.5' x 12' V nose ice shanty.  Using 2x2's in the walls and tapered 2x6 rafters with 1/4" ply with rubber roofing.  The interior will have LED's and 12 volt power to supply back up power for phones, radio and a fan.  It will have 2 15 watt solar chargers feeding two deep cycle marine batteries.  Can't wait to Git R Done.
"Hope" is not a good fishing strategy!

Towards the end of last season I splurged and bought a Vex FL-20 ultra pack! It was a display model but never powered up. Everything was still in plastic. Got 200 bucks off. The thing is mint. Can't wait to really put it to use this season!!

Got a showdown 5.6 dual beam, some jaw jackers and new rods to go with them, a frabil 261 on a 36" quick tip rod, and a pair of eagle claw inlines to go on the fenwicks that I bought last year. wanted more but the money for new toys ran out.
