Dingle Drop's

Anybody use these or are they something new??? They're put out by Dave Genz and seen these at Scheel's in Fargo and had to get one. Look like  pretty decent jigs but costly. But then I think most jigs fool more fisherman
than fish!!!!

These were new for the 2013-2014 season.  They do have a new series out called the Dingle Drop XL and the Drop XL for 2014-2014.  The XL has a larger hook on it.

I had a lot of luck on these last season and doubled up on my supply this year.

I bought some last season and liked them. Caught mostly perch, crappie and gills with them. A few trout too, but I noticed how many bites I missed with trout and bigger fish. I'm not sure if it was me or what but I want to get some of the XLs as the bigger gap is said to remedy some of that.

Custom Jigs and Spins makes jigs that are similar and I think they're not nearly as expensive. I have yet to find a Custom Jigs and Spins product I don't like. But, on the flip side, Clam is a known commodity and you get what you pay for too.

I have a few of the dingle drops and bought some of the XL's this year. I don't know if I would say they are any more or less valuable then a normal tungsten jig. I think that they're the same price as clam's tungsten jigs without the dropper chain/bead. I think they work just as well as a regular tungsten jig. The dropper might help on some of those tougher days to entice fish to bite...
