I have used the ht rod and I hAve  several of them I like them a lot bc the end is so light plus they don't break the bank when you break one as I am hard on my gear and usually break one.

Both are great rods and sensitive. Both can be had for $10 and under. The diference that I noticed is the HT Ice blues will be more like a fast sensitive tip, that seems to load to the middle back bone of the rod.  Where the Schooley's Artic Blue seems to be sensitive all the way to the rod handle and bend........

Both can break fairly easy, preference for me is usually which ever one i come across fist when I need a rod.
