Looking like its going to be another good winter for some hard water fishing! What are your date predictions for your first time out this season?

I'm going to go with the same date as my first day on the ice last year. Which was 12/13 eather way I'm ready to get on some ice .

Got a 2 man limit last year dec 8, hope that to match it again!

A buddy and me got on the day after thanksgiving in 2013! It was on a little channel on Adams Lake and then on to a private pond. The ice was sketchy but held up.

As for this year, I'm hoping for mid December.

Family vacation to Wisconsin right after Santa leaves!!! my first ice will be 12/26!! unless i can get on somewhere in the Hoosier State!

I doubt I will be able to make it on the ice this year.

That's what you get for moving to FL!!!! We will find them and let you know and then you can fly up for the weekend and catch em. Just don't bring any of that FL heat up here with you.

I know! It's been exciting but I sure will miss ice fishing and all of the guys I have met from the shanty.

Wax- not sure if work will allow me to make it up this winter but I am sure in the future I will send you a PM or two asking about the conditions prior to jumping on a plane. I am guessing the perch and pike will be right where I left them... Hopefully.

i would be very happy to get out before Xmas again this year...last year i think my 1st time out was 12/17...i am hoping for a bit earlier if at all possible this year!

I shot up to Wisconsin area to get on a few weeks early last year, might do it again this year . I think SW WI ice first week on Dec, here I pick the 14th odf DEC with a pucker factor...lol

For me id say dec 20 for ice in ne indania. It mite not be safe for most but ill b out. I hope to be on some ice by the end of nov someplace, either michagan or wisconsin.

Last year I was Ice fishing the week before Christmas in Northern IL. This season I don't think I will be that Lucky I am putting first fishable ice in the in between Christmas and New years Eve. Hopefully sooner!

We are officially in the "ice tease" season. Cold enough at night to start thinking about ice but warm enough this weekend to be in shorts...

To top it off, I'm looking at a thread with guys already on the ice! Check out the mountain range in the background. Sublime...
