Where did you find it at? I Checked with Omaha Scheels and they only ordered 6 to put on their shelves.  I'm assuming they will be gone the same day.

Ordered a few things from Cabelas last week.  Went ahead and ordered a tickle stick.  For $49.00 figured if I don't like it one of  my  kids could use it.  Looks pretty decent.  Had an extra Black Betty laying around so figured it would be a good fit.  Now I just need some ice to try it out.  Will let you all know how I like it once I have caught some fish with it.

I purchased the 23" UL and 27" L.   They look to be a good rod but still like my st. Croix spring bobber.

Picked up a 23" UL at the Coralville Scheel's last week. They had both the 23 UL and L but no 27" and no SUL.

Would the 27" UL be to light for small spoons?

Drew gills I would take that challenge with $10 ice blue rod!  Not that you couldn't out do me, but that rod will give most a run for their money as far as pan fish go (I even pop a few walleye a year with it).  I have a buddy who has 2 of those and it certainly did not make him any better at catching fish.  That said with the number of $30 to $50 mass produced rods on the market I went ahead and orderd a couple of custom rods from DHcustom rods and I can't wait to get them and try them out.  I've spent a lot of time waiting and searching as well as trying other rods to beat the ice blues.  They're just a tough rod to beat and I'm hoping the boys at DH have done it!

I'm sure they are good rods but.  They don't get the negative bite like a bent spring does.which for lite bite crappies is a must:)

Man the super ultra light - SUL-  tips with a tungsten jig should show a up-bite , tips are super sensitive and the weight of a tungsten jig should pull tip down then flex up .
i do use ice blue with 1 lb test and inline my fav setup for gills, but have a SUL on order  so we will see how it does.
Good Luck

oh yes they do drew. a 3mm tungsten loads an ice blue no problem. all you are looking for is the rod to go straight.

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.
