Going to put the fly gear up, clean up the boat and dig out the ice fishing rods this weekend. Let the jig twitch begin.

Lots of leaves turning colors and falling at my house.  We even had frost here two weeks ago and they're saying it's going to be 38 and 39 for lows on Saturday and Sunday.  That's sure giving me the itch big time.

I know it will take a lot more but it was 28 degrees here this morning sure feels good, now to get to the mountain and chase that elusive wapiti and wait for ice.

I saw an add for Eskimo's HC40 propane auger, and "Bamb"!  I am ready for the Gorge to Ice over.  Lol  I hope we get a little longer season this year.

My goal this year is to have all of my ice fishing gear ready to go well in advance of the first time I will actually use it. Seems like I always wait until the night before the first time I hit the ice to reorganize my ice fishing tackle, re-spool reels, and make sure everything is ready to go!
