Models in agreement on severe winter
« on: Sep 17, 2014, 09:01 PM »
Models are coming in line with eachother and showing a severe winter shaping up with a negative NAO forcasted for much or all of this winter in this area. We are now in the third year of the 30 year cold cycle and the majority of the winters moving forward will be cold. Just how cold will be the question. Im not saying their couldnt be an above normal winter thrown in but the majority of the winters are going to be below normal. Just wait until the Atlantic goes into its 20 year cold cycle in 2 to 3 years. Pacific has been in its cold cycle for about 6 years now.... Get ready boys!!

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the ice like an idiot! I won't tell you which side of the line I'm on.

NAO is the North Atlantic Oscillation. A negative oscillation means lots of cold and snow in the NE USA. The winter of 95/96 was a negative oscillation year.

That's not good news. 95/96 was the year of the blizzard that collasped the roof of the car dealership I was working at.

When I saw the title, I thought it would be about this,
"I used to lose my temper in arguments, until someone told me, 'Cooler heads prevail.'
Thus began my collection in the basement freezer."
