First shack!

Hey Everyone!

New to the board and buying my first shack today! It's a camper thats already converted with hard sides. Needs a little work but I cant pass it up for $50. Excited to pick it up and get to work ASAP.
Let me know what your thoughts are on a few ideas I have...

Lights: LED's or Light powered by solar?

Power: Whats recommend for a tv/dvd player for an inverter? It's a smaller tv if that helps.

I'll post pics as the rennovations proceed!

Go LED and solar as for the Tv use deep cycle batteries and an inverter. And don't forget to post lots of pics.

I found a small solar panel, an inverter, and a 12v battery on Amazon for about $160 total. Then I bought LED rope lights, I think 18' length. My shack is 8 X 12. That gives me plenty of light and lasts for many hours. When the wife and kids come with, then we fire up the generator (2000 watt) for the tv/dvd player. Never tried to run the tv with solar power. Good luck with your shack!

ive never had good luck with solar keeping up with my power usage and always ended up firing up the generator but its nice to add some charge to the batteries when its not being used I know those honda gerearators do get 10-12 hrs runtime per gal if your not running them hard and are quiet I run off of a inverter (I cannt rember how big) hooked to 2 of my boat batteries untill they get low then fire up the generator and recharge everything, good luck on your shack remodel

Finally made a lot of progress on the shack! Inside and outside seams caulked, windows caulked on the outside and a little remodeling on the inside. Lots of work to do yet but, it's coming along nice!

It's gonna be parked on Lake Wausau for the season. If we go elsewhere we just bring portables.
