87 Days Til Black Friday! (Countdown Thread)

Guys from other states are welcome to join this countdown, I just do it every year for SD because we always start around the same time every year here. 87 days til the day after Thanksgiving Day and no better way to give thanks than to get out into nature and get some delicious cold water fish!  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

If things keep going the way they are, temp-wise, I believe I'll be on the ice in NE Wis by turkey day. I have a trip up planned with 5 buddies for the first week in Dec, that should be no problem.

Last year we had 4 inches of good solid ice on a local lake the day after Thanksgiving.  Hopefully it will be the same this year.  I may need to take a day of vacation for that Friday.

didn't see anything that got me excited last year. not expecting anything different this year. if you guys see any great deals being advertised that are accessible for online shopping, please post on the Community Chat.

I'm the same way. I have everything I need and it all kicks butt. Hard to get excited about just spending more money for no reason. But....I'm sure something will eventually get my attention and therefore my money. 86!!  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

I ice fished the gun/deer opener last year. First time in 15 years. I'm usually musky fishing that weekend yet.

As much as I love ice fishing I couldn't ever turn down deer hunting because I hunt with my Dad and Brother.

85! I've always been too busy fishing to hunt. I have a guy that I trade fish to for wild game so I can make jerky to go out and catch more fish. ;) :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

I just looked at the forecast for today at Pactola....areas of frost before 9am! My buddy is up there camping right now, and I'll bet he's jumping up and down excited about the temps. He's an ice-dog too.  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

82! Actually Icehut, unless I see something that blows my mind, I'm prolly gonna hang onto my money. I love the stuff I have and even tho some of its getting old,(10 yr old FL18, 7 yr old SM224 auger) Its still the best out there IMO. I do have a lot of tipups that I don't use now that I'm into ice riggers.

Yep! We have snow on the ground here. 4 inches up higher, and all the grass in town is white. We just lost power here at the factory for a second due to ice and snow on the lines. Sweet!  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:
