Driveable ice by early December.  Strike master parka to go with my bibs to match. Some more tip ups and lots of time to do mods to my gear before the ice shows up.

Driveable as in truck or sled/atv?

My word for the 2014-15 Ice fishing season is DOWNSIZE ...put my beloved Otter on CL and about to put my old Jiffy up there as well...not getting any younger, and have been looking at the hub style tents and the 2 man flips...also would like a Vex or other flasher/sonar...gonna lose some money in the Otter and Jiffy, but hope to get some lighter, newer equipment to pull around this year
Real good Steve, we were biting this morning..we were biting this morning...

I got the itch bad! I'm looking to pick up another laker rod. Looked at the thorne bros professional in baitcasting but a bit pricey. Anyone out there using the clam mackinaw?

I'd like another deer or two in my freezer to cook while out on the ice.

I bought a lx 3tc yesterday and now have that and my vx-1... keeping both because I like the idea of a spare. I bought my vx-1 from a shanty member a few years back and I can't imagine fishing without one now...

I try to get a few things during the "off-season" on CL.  So, over the summer I picked up an Aqua Vu Micro II.  I bought the snake mount for it too and have that mounted on my Vex case.  I'm excited to try that out.  Also picked up a "CFish" camera and it just came in the mail last week.  I also found a dirt cheap Clam Junior shack.  I'm actually sort of impressed with this unit.  It is what I plan to use for those spots that I go back to time and time again and know there are fish there (vs. run and gun).  These older Clam suitcase shacks have a great floor in them.  The shack is 4x6 which is the perfect size for me and the dog.

Is that a go-pro or some other kind of camera?  I've often thought that a camera like that would be cool.  For me the Go-pro has always been cost prohibitive.

Check out the swan 1080 off Amazon. Just do a search. It comes with mounts, view screen, and a remote. It's basically the same thing for less, and does great for a s average Joes.

I sold my one man flip over and picked up an Eskimo QF2 for when the wife comes with me.  It seems really nice. The flip over was OK, but bulky, so the few times I have company, the QF2 will come out.

I've rigged several open water FF to use on the ice, so I'm good there. All I really need is some maggots and some ice!

Bring it on Mother Nature. I've got two augers, and plenty of vacation days to use!  Lol

Just picked up the Uniden 2 pack Portable battery pack from Wally Word for 10 bucks.  Should keep the phone charged all day.  Hoping to sell 2 of my gas augers on CL so I can throw some greenbacks at a go-pro.

I'll say it now. I'm not buying a darn ting this year aside from terminal tackle and bait.
I'm sure I'll find a way to spend a bunch of $$$ on something before the season is over.
The angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the beat.

Lowrance elite 5 ice machine
Eskimo 949I Fatfish or Shappell 6500 widehouse ( hard time deciding )
kahtoola micro spikes
frabill softbag
speedy spud
1 more ultra light rod/reel
2 spring bobbers

Most likely going to get the kahtoolas and frabill sofbag. The other stuff I can go without for now.
