Which is better for Lakers ? I want to get a bit caster but is a high gear ratio better over low ratio?

I would go low.  A high gear ratio will pick up line faster but at the expense of power.  I have a high speed Abu for buzzbaits and burning spinners for bass.  For vertical jigging lakers I'd want the torque of a lower geared reel for hauling up any slobs you might run into.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

Thanks, I was thinking most round bait caster's have lower ratios.
