We have some dove and pheasant hunting coming up and then deer if I get lucky enough to draw a tag. But I'd skip all off that for some ice lol

Five days ago it was 19 for the low in Island Park . My water hose to my camper froze and didn't thaw out  until noon .

I was reading a post the other day that it has already snowed in all the Canadian Providences and that because of that our winter is expected to get here early which is fine by me.

allowing Pacific moisture to move into our area underneath a high
amplitude ridge centered over the eastern Gulf of Alaska. This will
bring a chance of showers to the region Wednesday night and
Thursday. By next Friday...forecast models are showing the
possibility that a surge of Arctic air originating in northern
Canada could approach Idaho. Its still too early to forecast the
exact track of this cold air...but this will be the main feature
to watch towards the end of next week."

Taken from NOAA's forecast this morning.  C'mon cold, I still have a few tomatoes growing that need to be zapped by the frost.

IDAHO.  THIS AREA OF PRECIPITATION IS ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE THAT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA WELL BEFORE THE ARCTIC
AIR ARRIVES ON TUESDAY NIGHT. THE ARCTIC AIR WILL BE VERY
DRY...BUT PACIFIC MOISTURE WILL BEGIN OVERRUNNING THE COLD AIR ON
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AS THE UPPER LEVEL FLOW BECOMES MORE WESTERLY.
A CHANCE OF SNOW IS FORECAST FOR MOST OF EASTERN OREGON AND
SOUTHWESTERN IDAHO ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY."
