As an artist, I've been fueling my ice fishing needs by sketching and it's been sufficing... for now.

Ok well I guess while I'm "waiting" I'll show off that I've done got my camper all ready to go. All I have to do is load the vex and gas cans and I'm as good as gone.

Many many years ago I had one. A female named Cherry. Got he a around six week old baby. One of my neighbors found her in his garage. She loved me. But bit my mom, dad, and sister.  Had her for six years. When I was gone I had to pen her. One day she got out. I forgot to put lock on pen. Neighbors dog did her in. While I loved her. I would not recommend anyone getting one.

Jeepers, I don't know how much more I can take! Got some things out today and started going through it all. This led to watching YouTube videos... Now I'm re-spooling tip ups and jig rods! I wish it was here!

We were up at the cabin this week.  My wife's father is a scuba diver.  I had him down 25 feet in this large flat finding humps and structure for me that I marked in GPS.  Best part was that he was happy to do it.

On a side note, hammered crappies in the afternoon.

January 1st, 2015 before our ice fishing season starts.
I have been in my garage every evening for the past two weeks tinkering with gear.
You know it's bad when you are trying to save things to do with the gear just so I can get it all back out the next night. ;D
Yes, my wife thinks I have lost my marbles.

Did some mods to my Frabill Adventurer  ... Frabill rod holders and made a nice place for my Portable Buddy to stay put.. attached to the front interior of my  sled...tested the Catch cover rod holder and the Mags sidebaiter shelf ...got some Okuma reels coming for a pan fish and walleye set ups ...but you do gota stretch your ice prep out ..makes it a lil easier on the waiting some

The Gander Mtn I work for was remodeled 3 years ago to be just a gun store. All fishing was removed, as was camping and women's clothes. Well, what goes around comes around and we're remodeling starting tonight to re-introduce fishing and camping and women's clothes.

This past weekend I was digging through all the boxes and gaylords to find stuff in the ice set. So far all I found was a couple of boxes of Custom Jigs and Spins. I was told in exchange for me not digging through every box of stuff that comes in, that I could see the ice set plan for this fall. I looked and was told to write down my suggestions for stuff we should get that's not included. So that should keep me busy for a bit.

I know exactly what your going through, lol. I checked my deer stand and cleared shooting lanes, thats about all I need to do for archery so Ive been obsessing about ice fishing. Ive even taken an inventory of jigs etc. and have quite a list in my cart at FishUSA. I just don't want to be left out in the cold like last year as far as jigs, line etc. so I'm ordering early (next week).
