Hot and humid today and I'm thinking about being on the ice this coming season.... Whats on my wish list??? hummmmm

I actually just moved to Florida..

It's funny because yesterday I told my wife that I was already thinking about ice fishing and it was 100 degrees outside! It's going to be really hard when all you guys start posting pictures of ice in December and I have no hardwater to walk on!!

My wife always suggests moving to florida. Ice fishing is my argument why we can only move to a place with more winter not less

Yea I actually lived on the lake..

i still have access through a family owned place so that helped to lessen the sting of moving off the lake but I still hope to fly up a few times this winter though and drill some holes at my old stompin ground.

Florida is great and I love it!! I just will make ice fishing in N indiana my vacation spot now instead of flying down to Florida to fish. However I will miss fishin with a lot of you guys!

She try's to tell me I can do that too I tell her she can go there in the winter to my folks place to get a winter break. Our moving opposite directions stalemate at least keeps me here on our ice. It's sweet fishing down there though for sure ill never feel like I've caught to many snook or redfish

Sorry I get distracted easily. More on topic anytime it's gotten even remotely chilly at night winter is all I can think about. Had my bucket out to sort things maybe a week ago because they said it was gunna get in the 40°s

You think you guys are all going crazy, I just received my invite to the national championship this year again so that is all i have been doing is getting things together and modifying my sled in preparation. talk about crazy lol

Hey sergeant....I heard a rumor that they are going to be adding a species to the Maxi NAIFC tourny this year? Any truth to that?

Well all I can say at this point is I am lobbying heavily for it and if I have had any influence with my discussions with Jack the director it will either be changed or added. I won't know any more than that until I get up to the championship and even then they probably won't announce it until it get closer to the maxi tournament.

I also heard this . If what I heard is true ( don't remember where I seen it ) they were going to drop the crappie and add perch in its place .

I've always wanted to throw mi jig in the water in one of theses events . But I have always been kinda scared to do it too . I think the biggest problem is not knowing the lake real well and then the cost to enter . But I think I'm going to try it this year I don't know for sure though . I know I could catch fish but I don't know if I could get the right fish . But either way I think the experience it self would be fun .
