Just a little reminder that it might be a good idea to charge your flasher.

How often should you charge during the Summer?  How many times should you fire up your auger?  couple times?

I think they say to keep the lead acid batteries in the best shape you should charge once at least every 3months. i try to do it about once a month.

Ice auger....well I've left it in the corner all summer with fuel in it. then take it out to ice fish. Its a jiffy model 30.

I would prya try to run the auger about once a month in the summer just to keep it from gumming up.

Done ...and replaced ...one just wouldn't  take a charge ...I guess 7 plus years isn't to bad.. best to find out now and not during the season.

In the winter I leave the tender on the bike until it's time to pull it out again, so I just do the same for the flasher in the summer months. As far as the auger I might start it if I get the urge but mostly leave it alone all summer.

Just pulled out the flasher last week and hooked up the charger and it was still fully charged. Gotta love a battery that can hold a charge since late Feb/ early March! Auger was fired up last week also. Ran pretty good. Might need a card tune up in the near future but started and ran fine.

Charged the FL20 and LX7 last night then plugged them in and fired them up. FL20 is good to go but the LX7 screen was all washed out and faded. Going back to Marcum As soon as I find an empty box. Glad I didn't wait to charge it the night before the 1st outing.
