Your Clam it wasnt the nanook was it?  I hated mine for two people not enough floor space.  Perfect for one though
Is the ice thick enough yet?

My nanook works good for my son and I. The one thing I highly recomend is the tow bar if you are heading out on the big water. Pulled it with a Rope if the wind wasn't blowing it all over it was running into the spikes on my Snowmoble track. The tow bar cured all that.   And the one bad thing I didn't come with a cover u def. want the cover.  Instead of screwing my seats to the bracket on the sled I use circle pins to hold them in.  When u are by yourself it is nice to pull the one seat out and set it on the ice to put your flasher on at eye level.

For issues with pulling with a rope. Try putting your rope through a piece of 2", 4' long PVC. Cheap and it works.

careful out on erie  a few guys had the west wind pick up and carry them away on ice floats  on the michigan side of it all... that why i say be careful it was all over the news they had to pay the sheriff to bring there snow machines shanties etc all back just ta tip...couple guys lost gear that  were picked up in the coast guard chopper... not sure if that a problem in ohio but it has happened here in michigan so be careful.

I also have a Clam Nanook and I use it as a solo unit as well as a double unit. I consider it a "TWEENER". alittle large for solo and a lil small for 2 peoplle, but overall, it does the job.
