That's because Eskimo/Ardisam just came out with it this Spring, not even in stores yet.

As Rebless said, it's a brand new auger but in my experience with Eskimo products, they're all high quality.

Hevishot welcome to Ice Shanty if your interested in propane powered augers look at Jiffy's website . They have two models the PRO 4 and Pro 4 lite . The pro 4 has been on the market for around 5 years the lite model 2 or 3 . Both Jiffy and Eskimo have good reputations .

At least they're not made in Canada!  I kid, but really other than Nils, I don't think there is any brand that isn't made in China.  Strikemaster tries to say they're engines are German made, but the parts are sourced from China.  Same with Jiffy with "Engineered in the US", but made in China.  It's a shame, but I guess we need to pick up our game to get manufacturing back into North America!

I never had any problems with any Eskimo products.  Yeah it sucks they're made in China but that's where almost everything is made anymore.  If I can't find made in USA I look for made in Canada but unfortunately China has everyone out numbered.

The One thing I like about the Eskimo Brand over the Jiffy is the Quantum blade setup.  The Dual Blades just seem to eat the ice.  I used a friends Jiffy Propane and after trying it out I would never go with the Jiffy.  When I cut through 30 inches of ice with the Eskimo I can put as much weight on it as possible and the motor doesn't even bog down.  The Jiffy Auger stalled with minimal pressure.  I guess to each there own, I am very interested to see this badboy on the ice this year.
Is the ice thick enough yet?

The Quantum set up looks real nice but I like the old Turbo Cut blade set up.  I never used the Quantum blades so I can't comment on them but on my auger I have the Turbo Cut blades and I can say without a doubt they live up to the name.

I believe Jiffy Pro 4 engines are manufactured in California.  ;)

Haha!  Funny joke, look at the EPA sticker.  I own a jiffy with the stealth stx setup and I can't stand it.  I tried to give away but my buddy used it once and gave it back.  I will say that it probably isn't tuned right, but man that thing was a PITA.

I was going to get a Pro-Lite last year bc the Pro-4 was a bit too heavy for me.  Tried a buddies out and we couldn't keep the blades from jamming.  Not sure what it is about that cutting system, maybe bc it turns left?  :P

had 2 eskimos and had breakdowns w/ both. 1 had the crank pulley split in half and the throttle cable froze all the time. the other one ,a shark, had the choke lever break off n my hand! many times it wouldn't start in real cold temps. glad i had my old school mod. 30 jiffy as backup. wish they still made them. both eskimos were sold after the 1st, season.
