Anybody know where I can get a sponge air filter for my StrikeMaster 224 auger? I can't seem to find them on the SM website.  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=tecumseh&mn=3106C-TC300&dn=ETC3100113106C-EN   I think the 224 has the same motor as the Mag 2000....this site may help some . You may also be able to modify a lawn mower foam air filter ...supplied at Home Depot , Lowes , Walmart etc

One thing I have done is gone to menards and found a block of foam. I'm not sure what it was for, but it looked just like what came in my motor. Its not like you are running them in the desert, Just cut it to size and stuff it in. I used the same block on a few other small engines.

Royjulius if you have a small engine repair shop near you bring the current filter to them  they maybe able to match it to a similar filter. AS you may know Tecumseh is no longer in business I have no idea who if anyone is making suppling parts for these engines.

Thanks guys, you gave me some good leads on a solution. I actually was not aware that Tecumseh went out of business. I just thought SM switched manufacturers.  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:
