my wife thinks I need help
« on: Jul 08, 2014, 08:42 PM »
so this was my other 4th of July week end project. She thinks I need some sort of ice fishing 12 step program for working on this stuff when its 80* and humid.

I tell her its how I go to my happy place when its so dam hot.  ;D ;)

Good looking modifications should help make your ice fishing more enjoyable. Like many other members of this website you are addicted to ice fishing. Tell your wife by doing projects like this now you will be a little claimer as the next ice fishing season gets closer. There will be less last minute rushing to wrap up projects. Keep up with any items on her honey do list and encourage her to find a hobby/activity she can be as passionate about ,also spend time together as a family.

I don't see anything wrong with what you're doing, tell her it could be worse, you could be sitting in a bar all day. That should cure her. ::)

Better to do it now than later.  I always seem to start my projects in about October and by the time I am finishing them it's November and I'm freezing my nuts off in the garage trying to finish them up.

Yeah, just Google Hamster Balls and see what you get...har har...Seriously, there is everything right about the way you think. It's inspirational. I might drag the Nanook out in the yard this week and sit in it just because your pictures look so good. I don't even have a mods project. I'll just sit in it and sweat and drink me a cold one while Boner stares in disbelief.

never been up to maidstone on ice. Camped there a few summers back but didn't catch much. I may drag the boat up some week end soon. Thanks for the support guys, I figure id rather be getting everything in shape now not rushing to do it in the very short period when I have to pull the duck boat because the water is a little to stiff and when its stiff enough to fish on it  ;) ;D

I have a 6 step program, it will help you get those Ice Fishing projects done in half the time of a 12 step program, hope this helps. ;D  Nice setup BTW!

Just studying your pics again, noticed the drill plate on the auger. Is that store bought or home brew? I have been running the cordless drill auger set up for a few seasons now and methinks the auger plate would be the cats pajamas. @)
