Summer is too long
« on: Jul 03, 2014, 08:13 AM »
I'm just about ready for ice! Had frost on the cars Tuesday, started the Eskimo up last night, charged the Vex's and Marcum. Working all week on organizing my jigs and cleaning the jig boxes. Picked up a face mask in the clearance bin, a good friend gave me a super warm hat and the ice fishing suits have been checked for holes and tears.
Next couple of weeks the truck will have new spark plugs, fuel filter and maybe a pump, trans service. Later this fall try and find a good deal on some ice line for the rods.
Bring on the ice.

I envy you for having frost on your cars.  Here in Pennsylvania at my house it's 75 degrees and the humidity is so darn high you could just about cut it with a knife.  Boy I really need to start trying to talk my wife into moving.

It's cooled off since but still pushing 90. Went shore fishing last night for a wile and was sitting there wishing that water was hard. Water levels are up so it should be a good winter for fishing.

GEESH that's WAY TOO HOT, thank God we don't get that hot other than once in a blue moon.  If it got that hot here I'd try to stuff myself in the freezer.  It's 81 here and I'm sweating my butt off, come on Winter.

Well I have to say I'm in the fever. Just left cabelas on Friday and walked out with Ice fishing gear. Yep the bug is in and the funny thing they had some Ice fishing gear on display.  It was epic.
No one left behind.

I was up in the Uintas this weekend just south of Mountain View Wy, no frost but seeing the breath under the head lamps. :)

Played cards with some buddies and came home a bit late the other night. When I quietly climbed into bed so as not to awaken her, there was frost on the sheets, and I swear I saw a chill on her breath in the complete darkness too!
