Any deals on an LX-7,6, or 5 out there?

I was planning on getting one last fall, but never found a decent price on one. Has anyone found any on clearance or on sale anywhere?

A lot of retailers are out of stock ...due to last years great ice season and the popularity of the 6 an 7s ....Bass Pro had a great deal last fall on the 7 l believe ...(missed that one ...believe it was around $ 420)  lil neat trick that works some times is to sign up for the retailers Email and account  ...and put the item in your cart and/ or wish list ...they sometimes notify you of a reduction .

I have never found a decent deal on any of the electronics for ice fihsing.  I don't know why but the LX3 and Lx5 have been a steady  $400 since 2003.  I have never seen a drop in price.  I know this next season the hut prices are going thru the roof.    Anyway.  Ice fishing gear is becoming to pricey for alot of technology that the average guy doesn't need.  A fl8 a LX3 any of the the older fl18 vexes are a great buy for the average guy.  I have been on the tournament off and on since 2004 and I am still using a lx3 marcum.  I send it in every three years and ask them to go thru it tune it up and check it out.  Usually a $79.00 bill but its worth it and I get a great sonar for the next three years.  I run the heck out of mine and log alot of hours on it.  There is nothing wrong with the older models.  I like mine and have no need to up grade to digital.

ebay, just snagged LX-5 used for 215 bucks shipped to my door...been watching like a hawk for a while and finally got a smokin deal...if you dont believe me ill screen shot the invoice for ya...ive been seeing the used ones selling for around 350ish some a little more some a little less...just gotta check frequently and be patient. the machine works great, battery needed a good charge but shes all ready to go.

if you have the patience, you can snag a deal on ebay.  i bought my vx1 off there for like 100 bucks 4 or 5 years ago.  the key is finding auctions that for some reason end at odd hours.   i picked up a softball bat selling elsewhere for 450 bucks (yeah i know) for 125 on ebay because i stayed up til 2:00am to get it.  turned around and sold it BuyItNow for 400 4 days later.

Yeah. Long drive though! I'm looking everywhere. Hoping to get a new lx7, but will pretty much get anything lx5 and up if it's a good deal! For the deep fishing i started this last winter, I'm gonna need it!

Well, I ended up bitting the bullet on a few deals a few days ago. I got a used lx6 for $375 that was bought new in April, and a used lx3tc for $200 that was also bought new in April. Were those decent enough of deals? They both looked new and came with everything, boxes, papers etc.

Yeah that's basically new if it was bought in April. Wonder why they were getting rid of it. Seeing as I paid 400 plus 20 shipping for my new lx-5 I'd say you got a good deal on the 6. I do like the fact that I have a two year warranty though.

That's awesome. Feel free to give a review on that lx-6 when ice season rolls around. Wondering about the digital I went with the old fashioned version my first time around.

Just picked up a 7 in a bargain cave at Cableas.  Price of a new 6 and the screen protector was still on it!  Checked everything to make sure it was good and it fired right up.

Yeah I would jump on an lx7 if I could find one. Checked my new cabelas in Green Bay, Wi, and they have none in the bargain cave. I would still buy an lx7, so if anybody finds a good price on one.....

Yep that's my team. I'm out in western NY closer to Rochester though. Good fishing out this way too.
