We got about 12" of snow in the last 24 hours, right when it finally was easy to get out on the lakes. There is still a good 18" of clear rock hard ice under about 10" of hard white ice.

That sucks. Waste of ice with all that snow. Around here I'm sure theres good ice, but some of the lakes shore lines don't look the best. Don't have the time to check it out. I might have to hang it up for the year!  :'(
