off to Bomo this morning after smelt,it's 6:07 am....may be the last time after smelt,may switch to perch after this

fishing sucked today,forgot the auger and had to run back to Rutland and by 7:30 am the bite was over or had never begun,,,fished til noon and only caught 7 between 2 of us....too damn nice out.   Big holes in the ice just off the north ramp at the green dump,,,no more driving on for me

That sucks! Bite is slowing down I think for smelt. Perch time! But where?

I went out last Thursday night and the bite was pretty slow for smelt we got about 40 between two of us but that was over a few hours of trying to fish for them. So yes maybe the smelt bite is slowing down but I think I am going to try to give it one more shot before the season is out. But the perch bite on Bomo is definitely picking up. If you guys want to know where the good perch bite is PM and I will let you know.
