havent been posting at all this year, to busy with school and then working or volleyball every weekend but almost done now!

finally getting out for a big trip with some friends im organizing to an old favourite spot for perch and pike!
hopefully we will have some pictures to share!

then after the 11th ill be out trout fishing cant wait to get back to fishing regularely!

well definitely not a bad way to end the general season for me. good fun going out for some perch with some friends and my pops,
matched my first trip of the season by the first fish of the day being a new personal best, this one smashing the previous by 2 1/4"!!!
yep a 15 1/2" slob of a perch was the first fish on the ice crushing my previous pb of 13 3/4". :o
when i hooked it it peeled out some line on me and i instantly thought it was a smaller norther with the explosive runs i was getting from it, just imagine my face seeing this freak come up the hole!

besides that fish i managed a 14" and a couple around 12" and everyone else managed a bunch around 12-13", not the fast paced perch action we were looking for but i didnt expect it with all this snow we still have
there were also a good 20-30 northersn caught ranging from a foot to about 25" or so, lots of fun on perch tackle

great way to end the season and now for my exams, with all this ice ill be trout fishing after them, and will post!

sorry for the wording, dirtbags isnt the right word, just i dont feel as comfortable with the people on that page.
though i believe a select few need to step down from their high horses

Its going to happen everywhere. Just have to accept and know those types of people are out there and dont drop to thier level.

OMYGAWD lostman! That perch is something you can truly be proud of! How can you ever top that? You da MAN! :icefish:I have caught a lot of big perch here on LOW but never anything close to your's. thanks all! after putting in time i finally got a hog out of that spot and dont think ill beat it anytime soon!!!, and thanks for the advice dirtball! haha

and no secret, my favourite perch lure has always been the smallest size jigging rap in firetiger tipped with something, this one happened to be some trigger x maggots!
