Only 1 post to the board in 4 days. I am hitting the ice this weekend but I think I will start looking for open water the weekend after. Still a while before all the ice is gone but creeks and rivers are opening up.

This may be my last weekend. Im going to go Sat, on Dog. after that, i will be playing it by the weather.

I posted on your board as looking to come east to fish over Kenora way - over 4 foot of ice and great fishing right now on Lake Winnipeg and lots of ice everywhere else, but our walleye season ends Monday.

Truthfully I wish it was over. This winter has certainly dragged on........I think yesterday was one of the coldest I've fished in all winter and it was MARCH 26th....

I figure at least two weeks left in Eastern Ontario...

Yesterday was OK....

Nice fish RJ.
I fished Lower Rideau on Monday and did well with bluegill and perch.
I need to find some better lakes to fish next year - for walleye and trout

I'll be heading out on Koshlong this weekend and I'm thinking at least next weekend for ice. I am hoping for nice weather to enjoy some fishing outside the shack!!

Hell no, Simcoes still got over 2 feet of good ice, a bunch are going out tomorrow behind Who-tars in Barrie for a fun fish Hooters

Went out today looking for one last shot at a big pike before the season closes, but had 5 hours of a whole lot of nothing. It got so boring that me and fellow board member DL built a snowman, this was the highlight of the day unfortunately....

Fished Fourth lake yesterday still plenty of ice, auger buried all the way till broke threw. Plan on going again this week, taking time off from work.

Two weeks ago was fishing crappie on Dog with success (Hogan's)
Was skunked on dog looking for Splake on Sunday (all over the lake)
Thinking about one more kick at the can this weekend
