Lake George Landlock Salmon
« on: Mar 21, 2014, 08:14 AM »
The illusive Landlocked salmon population is declining in lake George. But why, are the lake trout eating all the small ones not giving them time to grow? What about the big ones. I know these fish are a fish of a lifetime I sort of have an idea on how to catch them but if anyone has any pointers on how to target these fish it would be greatly appreciated.   Also if you have caught a salmon this season or in the past couple years would you kindly post a picture as they are such beautiful fish.

Tip ups set just below the ice near where a stream is coming into the lake.  Use a monofilament leader and a smaller hook.  I find hunts or small shiners work best.
