I've never fished there!!  Sounds like a good time!  Anything special I'd need to give it a try, or is my regular stuff for ponds and lakes good enough?!?  Second question, how thisk is the ice there?

U can have 3 tip ups besides your reg 2-3 lines; must have name and address on tip ups. 6 lines in the water if u have purchased your 3 line option. U see the auger pic, that's ice depth. Fish are fish, nothing special as far as tackle.

What was your total take for the day? What is the fish above the perch mixed in with the gills? Did you get funny looks with Toy. People give me crap about my Cav, took passenger seat out, it's like a little pickup. I haul 20' tree stands and even deer in it.

I dont know total; might be a deep hooked bass. I own two, four wheel drive trucks, but they sit most of the time, due to gas prices. I bow hunt missouri all of the time, and am also down there putting food plots in and fishing. I keep a 4 wheeler down there, to pound around on once I get down there. I haul quartered deer in the Prius all the time. A buddy said he was going to give me crap about my manliness of driving a prius, but he said since he knows I'm not rich, and always have a pretty woman half my age on my arm...that he couldnt attack it; lol. True story. I guess I've never needed to drive a certain type of vehicle to prove my manliness. I just am who I am; works for me, and this Prius allows me to travel to far away bow hunting and ice fishing destinations, w out figuring in gas prices as a deal breaker. I am in ne Iowa almost every weekend trout fishing too. $6 a night to camp, and $25 round trip gas; I love the freedom:)

I enjoy the first couple weeks.. I'm always buying propane to stay warm, ice gets too damn thick, all I catch is panfish usually. It gets old lol. Rather be catching bigger fish than the turds I crap. Lol ;)

I hear ya!  Drove a Geo Metro for 5 years, it got too old and tired, so now I drive a Kia Reo (42 mpg!) not as good as the Geo but wasn't feeling like having my rear become the brakes while driving down the highway!  :o  My pickup, usually stays at home, unless I'm hauling the camper somewhere!

I saw a 2 door geo metro pulling a popup one time. I felt bad for the guy. It was apparent he had given up.

Back in the day, I would pull my flat bottom behind my Ford Pinto.  Pulled pretty darn good but not so much for braking.  Those small pads would just scorch when I had to stop a bit faster than planned.
take care,
Dave  :>)

I sure get looks in NE IA trout fishing, when I pull out a Coleman Insta-tent 6, queen size air mattress, portable shower house, two solar shower bags, propane grill, rods and reels, cooler, creel/tackle, a 6 yr old, a gf, a 4 ft rollup alluminum table, lantern, lantern stand, propane 2 burner stove, and more....all out of a toyota prius. $6 a night to camp, and $27 round trip for gas:-)

Hate to say I topped ya but,,,,,,,, Those are the same looks I get when I pull up with my Yamaha Virago and start emptying the saddlebags.  No wasted space in my saddlebags.  ;D
take care,

I think those of us that want to ice fish one last time this weekend, are watching the incoming rains, warm temps, and any wind w it. I'm wanting to hit pool 9 up one last time Saturday, near Lansing.

Ice is still good there; 2 ft deep, and no issues getting on, according to sources. I'm leaving for Waterloo this afternoon, and staying w a buddy all night, so I don't have to leave so early in the am. Get u a travel partner and c u on the ice tomorrow!
