Jiffy Model 75
« on: Feb 22, 2014, 07:42 PM »
So, my fiances parents bought me an older jiffy model 75 power auger with a Tecumseh engine for my birthday. The plate on the auger says 24:1 gas oil mix but I've noticed that on other threads people run higher at like 40:1. So my question would be what is the best mix to run in this auger, should I follow the plate or run something different? I want this auger to last me a long time so if it'll hurt it I won't change the mixture. Thanks in advance.

jiffy says you can run 24:1 or 40:1. i run 40:1 and i have a white lighting model 76 and it starts second pull each time.

Just use Amsoil Sabre at 80-1 or 100-1 and your Jiffy will love you forever . It's all my Jiffy and Nils get .

i run my old auger at 50:1, runs a lot better than at 24:1 and you get no of the dreaded black goo oozing out of the exhaust.

Get trufuel premixed at 40:1 from lowes. Non ethanol so you don't have to worry about phase separation.
