Boundary Dam

Any advice on ice fishing at boundary dam? Would be great for any tips? On ice through ice? Never have fished there but am going there for work and would like to try it.

your going to have to go to the south end of the lake as the north half doesnt freeze. Play it safe

The fishing there is great  lots of jumbo perch to be caught and lots of walleyes.  second set of cabins down hwy 47 south and down the boat launch basiclly pick a spot there are tons of honey holes .   i have my shack on there and im fishing 28' of water thats where they seem to be. and  the bite is awesome

Wished I lived closer nice to see others sharing some info unlike 80 percent of others on different lakes must think everything is gonna get fished out. NOT a chance that will happen,  Good luck hope the bitin keeps up for ya.

Thanks for the info. I will have to get out there. I am on night shift at the BDPS so would like to get out some afternoon. Hope to see you out there. How thick is the ice?

Do you guys ever catch largemouth bass through the ice at Boundary or they all located in the open water area? ???

the ice is a about 38" thick .  and the laregmouth bass all head north to the open water .  jig on
bad day of fishin is better than a good day at work

Well we traded in the ice rods for the 6 and 7 footers yesterday. Went down with a buddy and man was it nice to be in the boat. Fishing was really good also. Got close to 40 bass and 20 eyes. Biggest eye was 29 inch. Quite a few other boats out as well.

That sounds like a bast will have to try some winter bass fishing sometime. :tipup:
Congrats on your big old walleye, she would be a beauty. @)

Were the fish still fairly close to shore, in deep water only or were they all over from deep to shallow?

Did you see any one shore fishing? :-\

Water wolf the bass were shallow and pretty much right up on shore. The walleyes came deeper. I'd say 10-20 ft. And yes, there were about a dozen shore fisherman
