$40 worth of bait; 500 spikes, 250 waxworms, and 50 nightcrawlers all absolutely ruined.
our fridge died, so i had my bait in a cool, dark room where we store all our canned goods. when the new fridge came in, my bait was put into a small fridge that we have outside that we use to keep Deer and Elk quarters cool while we butcher them. unfortunately, my mother was the one who put it there, and didn't set the temperature to something suitable for live bait.
i found out today, and i have a fishing trip that i've been planning for literally weeks next saturday. none of the online bait stores will ship quick enough, and none of the local places sell spikes anymore.
