New ION 40 volt ice auger

Got one for Christmas and used it a few time to open up the spear hole.
It worked good except it would like to not cut clean at the very bottom and it would pull the whole
auger down to the ice.  You can pull hard and get it out but I always just back turned the head to get it out.
Anyone else have one and what has been your experience?
I did email the company and said since it was electric areverse would have been nice.

Make sure your blades are on tight. My buddy had the same problem with his gas auger earlier this year.

On my second season with mine and haven't had any issue with it. Really smooth cutting auger and no problem at the bottom of the hole. I keep my auger running as i'm pulling it back up the hole. Are you?

I have used a few augers that do that from time to time, including the Ion. Simple fix, as you near the bottom of the hole ease back on in until the hole is finished. Nice clean hole no problem...
