Shanty is on the ICE!

Well I set up the new shanty today and fished all day! I ordered an ice saw and as my bad luck would have it the Post Office Delivered it when I was out fishing!

So the ice hole is rough but will be trimmed up next time out!

Zero Pike and Muskie seen today and speared 5 Perch and caught another 20some keepers!

Looks like you are all set. Hope it works out for you, a day in the dark house is always a good day  .

One thing I would do is try to reconfigure the spear hole. The middle brace has to be a pain. I am sure after a few days of sitting in there you will have a few adjustments to make in the off season. It will make a huge difference once you get the hole sawed out, you will see twice as much real estate.

-Brace Changed like you said...
-Bench 6 inches lower and 6 Inches wider.
-rod holders for the perch rods,
- roof redone and eyelet that previous owner used to lower it off his Seawall right in the middle of the roof GONE so it doesn't drip on my head...
-2 person limit cause even though it's big 3's a crowd!

But it will work for the rest of this year!

That's the main thing. Get out and enjoy it while the season is going, there is always time to tinker in the off season.
