The whole lake is finally frozen, 6"+ of ice. There is now about 8" of snow from the storm on top of the ice.

There are few areas that have wet looking snow, but its all frozen. I am sure with the cold temps they are predicting, they will firm up. There was already overflow where I was fishing on the east bar....

You can, although it's tough. A long track with lots of power will be to your advantage. Forecast calls for above freezing highs for the next 10 days, so I don't see it getting any better.

That might actually make me not make the trip. It was flat out miserable on Viva Naughton last weekend. Although my short track did get around pretty good. Never got stuck on the ice and that was about a foot of water on the ice with soft snow on top. I don't want to be chancing it on fremont. I plan on getting a new sled by next winter. Don't really want to get one before the fremont derby this year! LOL

The snow has really settled down and the overflow is not quite as bad, at least where I went today. We got a couple more inches of snow today.

Sorry, its hard to have a winner if it hasnt happened yet.
Good luck to all fishing it, I grew up in Pinedale and I always enjoy

Was out Sat. Yes it is a little better, still overflow, it's been petty cold nights so hopefully some old tracks will be frozen. Supposed to start snowing again, it will be interesting!

Guess I'll load up the machine anyway and have at it. If all else fails i'll fish close to "home base" but there might be a lot of others with the same thought. Regardless I'll probably catch the same amount of fish I always do in the pinedale lakes.....

We took a ride around the lake this afternoon, the overflow is still there but there is a lot of packed snow too. Be careful where you stop! Good Luck to All!

Another one in the books. A pair of 18 lb,ers won. Miserable, blowing snow/sleet on Saturday, glad I had my hut. Beautiful, almost hot on Sunday. I caught 2 fish Saturday, 0 on Sunday.
