Improved Flasher Battery Charger / Maintainer
« on: Jan 28, 2014, 05:13 PM »
I have been using the latest charger/maintainers from Vexilar that they ship with the new models.  I love em.  I  think they work great and really like the convenience of the connector.

That being said, I recently picked up an ICE 55 and was unimpressed with the charger that came with it.

I really wasn't happy with the alligator clips and I wasn't sure if I could leave it plugged in all the time without overcharging the battery.

So I found this Noco Genius G750 on Amazon for about $30.

http://www.amazon.com/NOCO-G750-Battery-Charger-Maintainer/dp/B004LX3AS6/ref=sr_1_7?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1390950111&sr=1-7&keywords=battery+maintainer

It's a charger and maintainer with a nice little quick connect harness.

This would be a nice little upgrade for any flasher that doesn't come with a charger/maintainer.

It works out great.  Just add a couple female spade connectors and you can leave the female end of the harness attached to the battery and tuck the connector away in the side pocket of the case for easy access.

That's great!  I think you'll be pleased.

Nothing but good to say so far about the one I got.  I'm impressed.  It has a nice quality feel to it.

Very pleased with the charger. Going to get rid of all my other chargers. The best purchase I've made in a long time, and not that expensive considering what it does.

How long does it take to charge your flasher battery?

How long does it take to charge your flasher battery?

Depends on how discharged your battery is.  I charge mine after every time out.  I would guess a few hours.  But honestly, all I can tell you is that when I plug it in in the evening after getting home, it's always charged the next morning.

Even if a 7ah battery was 100% discharged (and they rarely are).  Some quick math says a 750mA charger would have it charged in 9.3 hrs.
