Ripper auger rep'l blades

While shopping in the Runnings store, I saw a package of auger replacement blades. They would fit the Jiffy auger, in both 8 or 10 inch size. They were labeled "Ripper". They looked aggressive. Are they better than the standard blade that comes equipped on the auger? Comments please.

They will only work with the ice ripper drill

The "Ripper" blades have little notches or serrations cut on the teeth so they look more aggressive. The ripper blades blades are direct replacements for the older non serrated blades. (for 30 and 70 series augers) Jiffy only lists the Ripper blades and STX blades anymore. The Ripper and the STX main blades are of the same design.
