Give a welcome to The Lake George Fishing Alliance.  They will be sponsoring the NY boards on both www.myfishfinder and www.iceshanty.com for this season.

The Lake George Fishing Alliance is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to conserve, restore, and manage the game, fish, and other wildlife and its habitat in the Lake George watershed and its environs, thereby seeking to procure better fishing for sportsman. Thanks all. I am the current president of the LGFA, I took on the position (for a second time) in the Fall of 2012 when the group was close to dissolving and lost several active members. We have a good core of regulars that meet regularly to discuss the fishery and try to improve what we can; meetings are open to the public. We are always looking for new members that want to help out, it's tough to do much with the same small group of people. Strength in numbers helps and even if you can't volunteer much time simply joining the group helps, too. Anyone with questions can send me a PM.

Good evening all, been a newbie for a while and a lurker for a few years with very limited viewing due to the extensive website. Where should I begin besides looking at pictures for the 2014 season on here? Been trying to get back out on the ice for a while now. Trying to get a feel for the best areas to go with solid ice and or big game. Where on the IceShanty site should I be looking? Thanks in advance
