Thinking of heading up for a guided trip, are there any guides to avoid? Or recommendations

John Adams of Big Johns Guide Service does a great job and is putting people on the fish this year. Went with him at the end of Dec and we caught a bunch of good eyes. Didnt get on the perch but still alot of fun. Since then though I see pics on his site and FB page of his clients doing really well. He is just himself but sets you up with everything you need and stays out there and fishes to see if he can put you on a better spot. If he finds one he moves you and he also cooks you lunch while your fishing. Not a bad deal for $125 if you ask me. He has a website and an FB page. Goodluck let me know if you have anymore questions.

Perch Patrol from what I have read online and references are the best guide service on Devils Lake and rated the best in the state. They are booked solid on the weekends but they have some openings during the week. We have them book on Friday March 21. Their last update said they were limiting out on perch every day by 1pm.  :P

There are a lot of good guide services on Devils Lake.  I'd recommend the Perch Patrol, Perch-Eyes Guide Service, Bry's Guide Service, and Haybale Heights.  Any of these guys will get you on fish.
