my spikes died
« on: Dec 21, 2013, 04:50 PM »
got spikes from vados last week, they looked really good.  I'm storing them in the butter drawer in the top of the fridge door.  Today I went to get them and 85% are dead.  What the heck happened?  I fished one time and took some along, they were ok that day.  Why not today?

Hm, I think i'd be putting a thermometer in that butter drawer and get back to us, HuskersLincoln.    ;)2

We may all want to avoid them.   Once you get the temp, maybe call Vados.

I'd say it was way too warm. I keep mine in the back of the fridge where the cold air enters. They stay at 33-34º and live for months and months.

I've been doing that for the spikes I bought a week-and-a-half ago and only had 4-5 die and the rest still kicking. Stick with this method!

Just put a thermometer in there, we'll see.

So, if you buy a $1000 dog and it dies due to your negligence, you'd expect them to give you another?  :cookoo: :cookoo:

My refrigerator was not as cold as I thought it was.  This one's on me, live and learn.  I turned it down and found a cold spot in back.
